Schneider
Website | App Design
About:
Schneider is one of the most prominent logistics and trucking providers in the US. They are the big company behind the behemoth company moving goods across the United States come rain, shine, or pandemics.
Schneider elevated their offerings which required a redesign and the launch of their first apps to serve carriers (truckers) and shippers.

My Role — Senior UX/UI Designer
We designed a solution for each user for key touch-points and worked in close collaboration with Schneider’s marketing team.
Objectives: Carriers
Carriers/Truckers need a solution for the road
Carriers are busy and on the go, they struggle to find quality shipments and most are working solo or with small teams.
Our solution for carriers aimed to address the following objectives:
Easy booking, tracking
An organized way to manage paperwork
Fleet management and reporting
Educational material - most truckers in the US are small/mid sized operations
We tested our designs at various touch-points with carriers and dispatchers.
Objectives: Shippers
Shippers need visibility and a trusted partner
Shippers on the other hand tend to be large organizations that need their goods delivered come rain/shine/pandemics. They also need help finding the right solution for their needs.
Our shipper solutions addressed their need to:
Quote and book shipments
Find appropriate solutions for each shipment type
Visibility into status of shipments
Objectives: General
The website provides current and prospective shippers/carriers with information they need.
The website transformed from a brochure like service detail page to a service discovery tool. We still aimed to provide information but it also led to action such as finding the appropriate service, getting a quote, and reaching out to Schneider for career opportunities.
We created a modular design system that allowed Schneider to expand pages as needed.
The design system extended from the website to carrier and shipper app.
A research driven experience
A project like Schneider begs for research. Logistics is a complicated industry with unique needs.
Our aim was to understand the customer and the carrier with equal weight and we made sure we are not confusing internal jargon with industry norm.
We conducted market research, prototype testing, and concept testing to make sure we hit the mark.
